Flite is an ACMI (aircraft, crew, maintenance, insurance) service provider, specialising in regional aircraft. We are headquartered in the emerging aviation hub of Malta and focus on providing services to clients across Europe. Launching in spring 2023, we will initially operate CRJ 900 aircraft, offering a cost-effective regional jet solution to our clients’ fleet and network planning requirements. Flite plans to expand to be operating up to 30 aircraft. Flite’s business model is based on the U.S Style Capacity Purchase Agreements. It is partner based and offers the potential for significantly lower operating costs for our clients.
We are working closely with Mesa Airlines, a major US-based regional airline and publicly traded company with a fleet of more than 150 aircraft. Together, we have extensive capabilities and experience to support our clients’ network requirements, assist with identifying new reginal opportunities and integrate our services seamlessly with their own operations.
Our focus on regional aircraft and networks means that our products and services are tailored to offering the most effective and efficient solutions to our customers.
We will be operating on a Maltese AOC, which will allow us to operate flights across all 27 EU countries. We will also have the capability to operate regional services between the EU and neighbouring third countries. Our business model is focused on long term sustainable and integrated support to meet our customers’ regional jet requirements.

Chief Executive Officer and Board Member
Tony's early interest in aviation has led to an airline career spanning more than 35 years, including more than 15 years in the role of Managing Director or CEO. He has worked globally in the UK, USA, SE Asia, Middle East, Europe, Australia and Latin America at a variety of major airlines such as British Airways, Gulf Air and British Midland. Prior to establishing Gramercy Associates, Tony was the founding MD of bmibaby and Group Chief Executive of Tiger Airways. He is currently Non-Executive Chairman of Versilia Group Holdings and a Director of MIME Technologies Ltd. Tony has also served as a Non-Executive Director of VivaAerobus (Mexico), Viva Colombia, Glasgow Prestwick Airport, Skywest Airlines (Australia) and the Singapore Tourism Board. He is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
Head of Flight Operations
Captain Michael Ferverda is Flite’s Accountable Manager and Head of Flite Operations, boasting a 46 year long care that has seen him fulfil multiple operational and administrative roles. In 2007 he was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Kunpeng Airlines, also occupying the positions of Director of Operations and Chief Pilot. He also served as President of Freedom Airlines in 2002 and Senior Vice President - West Coast Operations in February 2003. Additionally, he served as the Senior Vice President of Operations for Mesa Airlines. From 1973 until 1989, he was a pilot for Eastern Airlines with prior experience as an aviator in the United States Navy. Captain Ferverda is a graduate of Indiana University.
Chief Financial Officer (Flite Aviation Holdings)
Alan Bird a chartered accountant who has worked in aviation for more than 25 years, principally as Group Finance Director bmi and CFO at Tiger Airways and VivaAerobus. He is also CEO of Adsajama Aviation Services, an investor and provider of a range of services to the aviation industry. Current direct clients include Irelandia Aviation, Viva Air Group, Canada Jetlines and GlobalXAir. Alan has a degree in Mathematical Economics, works on the NHS covid vaccination programme, and is a mentor at the Prince's Trust
Board Member
Mike Lotz has spent over 35 years in the aviation industry. Graduating from Iona College Hagen School of Business in New York City with a BBA degree in Financial Accounting in 1983, he rose to Maintenance Division Controller at New York Air in 1985. He later became the Director of Finance for the Western Region of Continental Airlines. Lotz also worked with Virgin Express in Belgium, helping the airline grow to a fleet of 27 Boeing 737s. After leaving in 1998, Mike Lotz joined Mesa Airlines- serving as its COO and its President since 2000. As President, he has shaped Mesa into a leading American regional carrier of 2005, boosted its international influence through their partnership with Kungpeng Airlines, and grew their fleet to over 150 aircraft.
